Pokémon’s 30th Celebration has a second wave on shelves now, and this one is much simpler for anyone who just wants packs. Magic’s Reality Fracture, meanwhile, is in its first full release weekend with some North American products still expected to be tight.

Elsewhere, MagicCon Detroit’s early-bird badge window closes Monday morning. It is a quieter weekend around the hobby, but there are a few dates worth having on the radar.

Pokémon’s 30th Celebration gets its straightforward pack products

The next wave of Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration products released October 2, led by the Booster Bundle and Mini Tins. The Booster Bundle is the cleanest option in the set so far: six 30th Celebration packs, without the promos, sleeves, dice, or other extras that come with the larger collections.

That matters a little more with this particular expansion because 30th Celebration boosters are not sold as ordinary standalone booster boxes. Each pack contains five foil cards, including one of 30 different Pikachu rare cards, plus a foil Basic Energy. For collectors chasing the Pikachu run or the Classic Collection, the Booster Bundle puts more of the purchase price directly into packs.

The Mini Tins are the more collectible side of the same wave. There are ten designs, each with two 30th Celebration packs, a sticker sheet, and an art card. The tin artwork combines into two larger scenes, one built around the set’s day theme and one around its night theme.

October still has two more Pokémon dates behind this one. The Deck Crafter’s Collection arrives October 23 with 40 tournament-staple cards and a booster, while the all-foil Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks follow October 30.

Dates to know: Booster Bundle and Mini Tins: October 2. Deck Crafter’s Collection: October 23. Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks: October 30.

Reality Fracture reaches release weekend with uneven supply

Reality Fracture officially released October 2, ending a prerelease week built around echoed pairs, Jace facsimiles, and a Limited environment that deliberately plays with familiar cards and their distorted counterparts.

The set is widely released, but not every product is arriving evenly. Wizards says North American Collector Boosters, Reality Fracture Commander decks, and Foundations Commander decks are partially delayed and may be tight through release. Bundles may arrive after release, and the single-pack Omega Collector Boosters headed to larger retailers are delayed as well.

Play Boosters have a separate wrinkle. Wizards expects most stores to get through release weekend normally, but a portion of the North American supply was caught in Panama Canal shipping delays. That could make Play Boosters harder to find in the weeks immediately after launch, with replenishment expected within a few weeks.

For players, there is no rules reason to rush. For stores and sealed buyers, though, release-week availability may not be a good picture of where every Reality Fracture product settles once the delayed inventory catches up.

Reality Fracture’s first big open Standard stop is three weeks away

Release weekend is only the start of Reality Fracture’s organized-play calendar. Magic Spotlight: Fracture runs October 23–25 in Hartford, with a $50,000 prize pool, Standard Constructed as the main-event format, and Pro Tour invitations for the Top 8.

That gives the new set about three weeks to move from prerelease experimentation into a high-stakes Standard field. Each competitor also receives a nonfoil Jace Beleren promo, with foil copies going to the Top 128.

For Standard players, Hartford should be one of the first useful snapshots of what Reality Fracture actually changes once decklists have had time to settle. Release-week card prices and early Arena results can move quickly; a large open event gives the format a much better test.

On the calendar: Magic Spotlight: Fracture in Hartford: October 23–25.

MagicCon Detroit’s first badge discount ends Monday

MagicCon Detroit is still months away, but its first practical deadline is almost here. Early-bird badge pricing ends October 5 at 10 a.m. PT, or earlier if a badge type sells out.

The convention runs February 26–28, 2027 at Huntington Place. The standard Weekend badge is $113.60 during the early-bird window rather than $128.60, while Premium Weekend is $173.60 rather than $193.60.

Pro Tour Nauctis is the competitive centerpiece, mixing Nauctis: The Sunken Realm Draft with Modern Constructed for a $500,000 prize pool. Wizards has not published the complete ticketed-play and programming schedule yet, so buying this weekend is mostly a decision about locking in admission before the first discount disappears.

On the calendar: Early-bird pricing ends October 5 at 10 a.m. PT. MagicCon Detroit runs February 26–28, 2027.
